I am a retired high school music teacher and professional musician of 30 years. I taught AP music theory for 15 years as well as choir and band for 30 years. I understand how to teach the content for the AP music theory exam very well. Understanding the structure of the exam is very important so that you know what to study. I can help train your ear to hear the melodies and court progressions that you must transcribe on the exam. I'm also very adept at teaching sight-singing.

I am an accomplished pianist and vocalist. I have been a vocal coach and accompanist to many famous people including Alan Cumming, B. D. Wong, Sharon Gless, Rita Moreno and others.
