Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where I received a degree in early childhood education. I have experience teaching kindergarten and second grade as a general education teacher. During my time as a classroom teacher, I realized that I needed to strengthen my knowledge on how to best educate students with disabilities as I felt like that is important for a classroom teacher. I received my masters in special education from Miami University and have been a special education teacher for the past three years. It is my passion to help students get up to grade level expectations and my favorite way to help students become strong readers is using the program Orton Gillingham. Using this multisensory, research backed approach is such an effective way to help students excel in reading and feel confident at school and in life. In my spare time I enjoy going to Orangetheory, spending time with my friends and family and going to live music concerts.
