Certified Tutor

I have been a math teacher for 13 years, with 6 of those years spent teaching in the United States. As of the moment, I am teaching middle school math (grades 6-8) at a private school in Kansas City, Missouri, while also working toward my Master's degree at FHSU in Hays, Kansas.

Currently, my tutoring experience includes Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Of all the math subjects I tutored here in VT, Geometry is my favorite because it allows students to visualize and engage with shapes in the real world. This not only helps them develop spatial reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills through visual cues, but also makes the subject more intuitive.

I am passionate about helping my students build confidence in math, both in my full-time teaching role and as a tutor. My tutoring approach involves closely monitoring students as they work through problems independently, identifying any misconceptions, and correcting them. I strive to create a relaxed and supportive atmosphere during sessions to alleviate any pressure they may feel. Students have shared that my voice tone during tutoring sessions is calm and encouraging, which helps create a positive and supportive environment.
