I am a graduate of Bard College, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies with a focus on International Relations. This academic foundation ignited my passion for education, leading me to become a teacher. With over 5 years of tutoring experience and a solid background in high school United States History, I strive to make history relevant and engaging for my students. My teaching philosophy centers on creating an interactive learning environment, utilizing real-time feedback to ensure comprehension and foster critical thinking. I believe, as Yeats said, that education is about lighting a fire, not just filling a pail. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing soccer, watching anime, and reading extensively, which enriches my teaching and connects me with my students. I am also pursuing my certification in Secondary English, further enhancing my ability to support diverse learners in their academic journeys.
