Certified Tutor

As an experienced educator, I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, regardless of their challenges or background. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, I founded an afterschool and summer academic achievement program for second through ninth grade students who were learning challenged, had IEPs (special ed), or were gifted. My approach was to work with each student individually, creating a safe and judgement-free environment where they could learn and grow at their own pace. I used a range of techniques and materials, including whiteboards, textbooks, props, and historical information, to bring lessons to life.

One of the things that set my program apart was the sense of community that we built. As my students progressed, they began to share their knowledge and support each other, creating lifelong friendships. Together, we explored the world around us, taking trips to Washington D.C., where my students got to meet their Congress members and find their voices on issues that were important to them. I was proud to see my students become confident and engaged citizens, ready to take on the world.

I hold a degree in International Relations and Economics from the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, and I studied operatic and classical voice at the renowned Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. I'm also a Screen Actor's Guild member, with a background in acting that began when I was just six years old.

As a tutor, I believe in working closely with each student to understand their individual needs and challenges. I'm adept at spotting patterns that may be holding a student back and finding creative solutions to help them succeed. Whether it's through personalized lesson plans, positive reinforcement, or other techniques, I'm committed to helping each student achieve their goals and become the best version of themselves.

Thank you for considering me as a potential tutor. I'm excited about the opportunity to work with you and help you achieve your academic and personal goals!
