Certified Tutor

My name is Brooke Shoup and I am a graduate of The University of Mississippi. I received my Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with a focus on English and History. I have also obtained my Masters of Education- Reading Literacy from Ashford University. I am currently pursuing my Specialist in Education through Arkansas State University. Since graduation, I have worked as a special education teacher with students in elementary, middle school, and high school. While I have experienced a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and History. I currently work as a special education transition coordinator for my school district. In this job, I help prepare students for life after graduation. In my experience with helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I also have had great results in the area of advancement in math. I am a firm proponent of education and reading, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. I also believe in making tutoring and education fun and I go to great lengths to engage and reach all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, traveling, and spending time with my family.
