I am a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature and Translation Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. I have a bachelor's degree in English Literature and French. I received my first MA degree from Columbia University- Paris in History and Literature and my second MA degree from the Universite de Valenciennes in Literature and Translation Studies. Throughout my graduate studies, I have been devoted not only to my own research but also to education and developing my skills as an educator. I have experience working with middle and high school students from my time spent as an English teaching assistant in the south of France. I also taught French and Translation classes at the university level. I love working with students of all ages and sharing my expertise in writing, literature, and French. Also, as a long time graduate student, I understand how instrumental standardized tests are for academic success. My life's work has been devoted to education and learning and I always feel honored to get the opportunity to work with students and learners to achieve their goals and develop an appreciation for the subject matter at hand.

I love spending time with my two beautiful children, exploring our city and doing different activities such as ice skating, soccer, and horseback riding. I am an avid reader and have recently gotten into graphic novels as a welcome escape from my literary doctorate work. I also love to cook and bake and I'm always looking for new recipes to try. When I get the time, I like to work on cross stitch projects, take my beagle on long walks in the park, or relax with a good book.
