Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of both the University of Central Florida and Grand Canyon University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also a Real Estate Agent currently helping both buyers and sellers! I have 22 years of teaching and coaching experience in education. I have worked with all ages of elementary students in both reading and math and I spent 7 years working with teachers as a Literacy Coach.
I enjoy motivating learners of all ages and making the learning experience fun, no matter what your age! Working with students, my passion is helping them to succeed. I truly enjoy helping students learn how to read, write, and spell but I also enjoy helping students unlock the mystery of mathematics.
When assisting adult learners, I always encourage the learner to take the reins as I support him/her with the process. Helping the learner to talk through challenges and giving support along with examples and resources allows the learner to be as independent as possible!
No matter the age of the learner I tailor my tutoring around how that person learns, and I assess both strengths and areas that need improvement. Once the student and I have a relationship I develop lessons and activities that are engaging and fun!
Outside of tutoring I really do enjoy real estate! Real estate is both exciting and challenging and I love meeting new people and making new friends along the way. I am a pretty active person, I enjoy working out, running, and walking my two dogs on a daily basis!
I am very excited to work with all sorts of learners from students needing support in reading and math to adults working towards passing the real estate exam or the required exams necessary to obtain a teaching certificate.
