As I was finishing my Master's degree, I had a realization that I have practically spent my entire life in school, from pre-K to graduate school without a break. The only logical reason for me to do this to myself must be because I love education! So after graduate school, I decided to remain in the field of academia, where I can continue to educate myself and keep my mind sharp while sharing that sharpening process with bright individuals who also want to learn and grow.
I received a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in Geophysics from Boise State University, where I am now teaching physics full-time. I primarily teach Radiation Physics, Geophysics, and Intro Physics at the college level, but can tutor for most math or science topics.

When I am not teaching physics, I am most likely playing music. My instrument of choice is the trombone, and I play in a variety of groups such as big band jazz, rock, classical, and more. I have a deep passion for acoustics and the science behind it, which is one of the main reasons I chose physics as my college major. My master's degree was in geophysics where I studied volcano acoustics. I also enjoy bouldering (indoor rock-climbing), gardening, playing with my dog, and climbing volcanoes.
