I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of University of South Florida and Brandeis University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on technical writing, then my Master of Science in Project and Program Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership. After completing my graduate degree, I inquired about teaching online in the program, thinking that it would be a way to simply better my career and open up new opportunities. Little did I know that it would transform into an absolute passion for helping students achieve their goals and dreams.

I now teach at Brandeis University in the Project and Program Management Master's program, as well as Boston College in the Leadership and Administration Master's program, and it brings me great joy to open up learning opportunities for students through both of these programs. I have created several courses for these online programs, and have learned a lot about instructional design in the process. Inherently, I have a great desire to unlock ways to best help students learn and master topics.

While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Project Management, Leadership, and Technology, mostly administrative tools such as Microsoft Office.

In my teaching, I enjoy most the process of watching students find joy in their learning. Whether it be a topic that challenges them and they overcome the challenge, or simply a hunger for learning more and more about a topic of set of topics, to see a student have their "a-ha" moments brings me great satisfaction.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, jogging, and cooking. I am also an avid traveler and a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan.
