I am currently working on a B.S. in Special Education at the University of Virginia. Throughout the past few years I have had a lot of experience in working with children of various age groups. I have assisted with a summer enrichment program in my local library that included children between the ages of 5 and 12, and have tutored high school students through a mentor program I am a part of. It is my goal to truly get to know students and help them understand challenging subjects/ideas using things that can relate to. I truly understand what it is like to not understand certain concepts and to need extra help, so it is truly my passion to help children understand challenging concepts. With a little bit of help I truly believe children can meet milestones that were previously hard for them.
