I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University and my Masters in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. I plan to start my Doctorate's degree in the near future. I have been a public school teacher, ranging from grades K-8, for 19 years. I have also been an online and community tutor for 13 years. I am passionate about teaching and always strive to make each learning experience meaningful and positive. During class, I constantly encourage students to take educational chances. Too often, when students are not proficient in specific content, they will not answer or attempt question out of fear of being incorrect. To address this, I will work hard on building self-confidence as I support their academic needs. Outside of academia, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my family.
