Hello everyone! I became a VarsityTutor because I feel that teaching is an incredibly enriching experience - I think that seeing the progress of a student over time is so rewarding for me. I have a BS in Neuroscience and a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, so I have a lot of diverse experience from my educational background. I'm currently pursuing an MS in Biomedical Sciences as well with the ultimate goal of ending up in medical school. In high school I received a score of 1500 on my SAT, and was a National Merit Finalist as well with a PSAT score of 1470.
I worked in a math tutoring center in high school and college, and I have teaching experience in math from basics all the way through calculus. I have previously tutored math and reading for the SAT. I have taken calculus at the college level, and for several semesters in college, I served as a TA for general chemistry classes.
