I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, with Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Math. Though this means that my tutoring skews in the direction of the sciences (physics and statistics specifically), I also tutor ACT and SAT English and reading sections. In my view, the purpose of a tutor is to adapt to individual student's learning style, though I believe in a concepts first approach to learning. In my experience, if one understands the concepts in play well, most memorization that is asked of students becomes outright unnecessary, which in turn makes life easier for the student. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy rock climbing, playing guitar and piano, and painting miniature figurines to relax.
