I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Willamette University and a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from Sonoma State University (SSU), where I also worked as a Tutorial Program coordinator for 5 years. During my time at SSU, I supervised and trained 80+ college tutors across disciplines in best tutoring practices. Currently, I work as an Academic Support Specialist at a local high school where I oversee all academic support programming, design academic support plans for students' unique needs, and teach a study support class that includes executive functioning skill support and study strategies. I have over 10 years of experience working with learners of all ages, but my expertise is in working with high school and college students. I specialize in working with first-generation college students, lgbtq+ students, and students needing executive functioning skills support and all stages of the writing process.
