I completed a physics BS from Penn State and am a future graduate student of Wake Forest. I have a passion for exploring new concepts and love sharing that process with others. Having grown up with younger siblings who needed help in math and science, I found that in addition to enjoying teaching, I was able to form approaches to instruction which proved effective. I believe that in order for students to truly grasp a topic, they have to understand the underlying principles of a problem conceptually, rather than memorizing techniques or formulas. Rather than jumping directly into instruction, determining what the student understands and building it up one building block at a time forms an understanding which outlasts the memories ability to retain random formulas or methods. It is my hope that my tutorage will provide students a groundwork for solving their problems and enjoying the process as well.
