I am a professional school teacher; I have a master's degree in TESOL with a minor in Curriculum development from Nova Southeastern University and I am working on my doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum EDD (c). I have been in the educational field for over 30 years. For the past 10 years I held a position as a school director at an international school back in Dominican Republic.
For many years I worked as a language teacher in an elementary school in New York as well as in Dominican Republic. At the beginning of my career, I worked as an elementary teacher here in New York City; I moved to Dominican Republic to pursue a doctoral degree during this time I worked as a Language Arts teacher focused on literature basically, I developed a tutoring program for those students that had difficulty learning a second language as well as enhancing their English proficiency. I continued to develop the program throughout my years in the Dominican Republic for those students with a learning disability. I worked as a college professor for the Education department and prepared students for the SAT in Dominican Republic.
I can say that I am a well experienced teacher in English and Spanish languages. I have worked developing teacher's programs for their professional development in reading and writing strategies, classroom management, and curriculum design.
