Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross and New York University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology, as well as a Master's degree in Counseling for Mental Health & Wellness. Since high school, I have tutored students in English, Reading, Writing, History, and reading comprehension, ranging from fourth grade to post-graduate courses. In my experience helping students who struggle with their coursework, I have always used the motto "Without struggle, there is no progress" (Douglass, 1857). Firmly, teaching students that although it may be hard, they are taking the critical steps to become proficient in the future. I am a firm believer in perseverance and resiliency, using the two concepts as foundational values that will guide our work together. I enjoy reading, watching documentaries, listening to music, watching football, and visiting museums in my free time. And I am looking forward to collaborating with you to help build the best plan to help your student get on track!
