As a Trinity College freshman, I was convinced my future lay in the field of journalism. I planned to write for travel magazines and visit all those places I'd read about in National Geographic. Well, I'm not a famous journalist, but I am an educator, editor, and a wordsmith who specializes in college planning and essays. Prior to going freelance, I was a financial editor for a Spanish investment bank and an ESL instructor in Italy for several years. (Yes, I'm still "Romesick!") Today, I've found the perfect practice that combines a few of my favorite things: learning, letters, and the literary arts.
I create individualized writing guides and research K-12 enrichment programs for students. When I'm not researching academic programs or providing editing/writing services for clients, my go-to spots are flea markets, street fairs, the beach, bookstores, and the NYPL. Also an interior-design hobbyist, I enjoy staging work, study, and play spaces using feng shui principles.
My main goal as a writing coach is to empower my students so they can craft their college essays with ease and confidence. Of course, the part I most look forward to is reading their awesome stories. A born bibliophile, I help my students embrace their inner authors and find zen in their pens!
