When helping students, I feel I have and need to use a great deal of potential of my brain to deliver the answers and ask them questions that will make them feel interested in their subjects. In addition, I feel a great passion for helping students to succeed.
Since early in my career, I have worked with students; as a tutor, teacher, and dissertation committee. I have organized numerous workshops and talked to students of all ages, and accompanied them on their scientific journey. In addition, I have experience as a museum chaperon and by taking kids to science fairs and serving as a guide to what they observed on such events and places.
I got my bachelor's degree in biochemical engineering at the Technological Institute of Merida, located in the south of Mexico. A great area to be exposed to natural phenomena and the outdoors, which was the perfect scenario to study sciences at the highest level.
I hold a bachelor's degree in biochemical engineering with a focus on wastewater treatment technologies. I also have a master's degree in renewable energies, in which I focused on renewable biological technologies. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in civil, environmental, and sustainable engineering at Arizona State University.
I tutor several subjects that are branches of the physical and biological sciences and the different mathematics topics. To name a few: In physics: biophysics, classical physics, instrumentation. Chemistry: Organic, inorganic, analytical, physical chemistry, biochemistry. For the side of biology: Anatomy, microbiology, ecology, and genetics. Specialized topics in environmental biotechnology and environmental engineering.
My favorite topics to tutor are the ones that involve physical sciences and biological sciences. Environmental Engineering is an excellent area of example since many of its calculations allow me to discuss an enormous amount of topics and angles in one single problem.
My teaching philosophy involves a self-exploration from the students and provides a solid foundation of the problem's basic principles. My tutoring revolves around asking several key questions that allow me to verify the student's comprehension.
Several things and hobbies interested me outside my academic work. I do nature photography and several outdoor activities, mainly in water and walking, and discovering nature. In addition, I love reading, playing the guitar, singing karaoke, and drawing.
