I am a graduate of the University of Michigan. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and also graduated from the College of Education Teacher Certification program. I have taught in the classroom setting for 6.5 years and online for 4 years. I have taught both mathematics and English as a Second Language. In mathematics, I am passionate about helping students learn how various math concepts are connected. I give the students time to process their thoughts so that they can figure out the answers. I like to give the students a chance to explain their answers and to describe how they got them. In ESL, I enjoy helping students learn the grammar and syntax of English. In both subjects, I am a very positive teacher, giving a lot of encouragement and support.
