I am a current student at Texas Womens University, seeking my degree in education Ec-6. I have obtained an Associates degree in the Arts of Teaching from North Central Texas College. I am currently a Site Director for an after school day care program called AlphaBEST education. At this program I work with students grades K-5th. I help them with homework that includes the subjects science, math, spelling, English language arts, reading, and writing. I have a strong passion to work with elementary students. Elementary is the basic start of school age curriculum. Which I find is important to have a well developed foundation in order to continue to excel. I am most passionate about science, English, reading, and writing. My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.
