"Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard." - Tim Notke (Basketball coach)
This quote has served as a reminder to relentlessly do my best towards any academic or non-academic goal in front of me. My philosophy for tutoring is to build a strong foundation in course material and to learn multiple strategies to study efficiently to create self-sufficient life-long learners. I received my PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in molecular pharmacology and physiology. During my years in school, I volunteered abroad in Uganda and Dominican Republic to build shelters and teach local citizens about bacteria and nutrition through conversations and activities. Although I tutor a broad range of topics, I am most passionate about Biology, Algebra, and study skills. Education has opened many doors of opportunities for networking and personal self-growth that I hope to help others continue their own academic journey. When I have down time, I enjoy reading , training in a competitive latin dance team, and hanging out with my chocolate labrador Atlas.
