After graduating from Portland State University with a Bachelor's in Anthropology (focus in Archaeology), I went to George Fox University and obtained my Master's in Teaching. I taught 6th grade math, science, and theater for just over 4 years and loved every minute of it. I have also taught a 4th/5th grade blend and reading intervention. My favorite subjects are math and science, but my real passion is helping students develop critical thinking, problem solving, and study skills. I try to tailor my teaching to students' individual needs and interests and love when we can laugh and have fun together while learning. All students deserve to succeed and I believe that with the right supports any student can achieve great things. In my spare time I spend time with my daughter, my dog, and my farm animals, or can be caught reading or listening to a murder mystery podcast.

I love reading, especially the Harry Potter series (I'm a Hufflepuff), and binge watching TV shows, my favorites being Friends and Doctor Who. I live in the Pacific Northwest and love being outdoors! I also love to sew quilts and other fun, useful projects. My favorite way to spend time is playing with my daughter and my dog and taking care of the animals on our mini-farm.
