My name is Liza Schade and I have been a passionate professional Historian in Portland, Oregon for the last fifteen years! I hold a Master of History from Portland State University (2021) and am specialized in the American West and Public History, the application of historical study to education of the public. This includes a wide variety of experience and skills, such as research, writing, collections management, exhibit curation, public programming, community engagement, and education. I believe it is an exciting time to study history today. We have growing technologies that make more information available to us each day AND we can discover and include new stories and perspectives that teach important lessons for the future.
