I am a graduate of Loyola University Chicago. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in sociology. After graduation, I worked as staff writer at a local newspaper in Wooster, Ohio for three years. Then, I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA, working to coordinate and support a grassroots mentorship program for middle and high schoolers. Currently, I am in the process of preparing to apply for graduate school to pursue a doctorate in psychology.
I tutor reading and writing from elementary to high school as well as ACT English and essay revision. Writing is my favorite subject to tutor because I get to witness the evolution that takes place as one's craft improves. I would describe my tutoring style as catering to the unique needs of each individual and my teaching philosophy to is to create a safe space where learning will be possible.
