Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and my Master of Education with a Major in Social Foundations: Instructional Technology.

Since graduation, I have worked in Title 1 and Magnet schools. I have tutored on-line foreign students to speak English. I am endorsed in both Reading and ESL.

While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about teaching reading decoding, fluency and comprehension. In my experience helping struggling students become successful readers has been the most rewarding. I love watching the student's confidence and self-esteem grow as they develop effective reading strategies in preparation for success in the classroom as well as on the critical Reading portions of Standardized Tests.

I am a staunch advocate of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to pass on this appreciation to all of my students.
