Lisa Daly, Visual Art Teacher 2021

I am a practicing Visual Artist and Art Educator, Artzyideas.com.

Licensed in UT and AZ, Secondary Visual Art with a K12 endorsement, I have 25 years of experience instructing fine art classes K12 and Community Education.

My teaching training began in Los Angeles, as early as 1991, founder of Art for Kids and Adults, a fine art program for The Art Stores in Los Angeles, now Dick Blick. During the early 2000's, I worked with Santa Monica College and West Los Angeles College Community Education year-round instructing Drawing, Painting and concurrent enrollment classes for high school students to earn 3 units of college credit.

I also instructed a portfolio preparation class at Otis College of Art and Design College, Saturday Figure Drawing Series for high school and Los Angeles Arts Commission to introduce the arts with core K-6.

My teaching methodology is based on Visual Art Programs- 2D and 3D. Innovative Projects are designed to meet required state/national standards, skill-based programs with emphasis on critical thinking and independent activity. Proficiency is achieved at all levels. Drawing, painting, sculpture, digital photo as well as video/film classes often overlapping with core subjects such as literature and history to introduce Visual Art as a language and a tool for understanding content.

By creating personal and culturally relevant projects, students learn how to use the fundamentals of Art and principles of design in a meaningful practice. Students are engaged in research and responding via Art History Critiques which prove to be both engaging and revealing to the process of art making.
