I earned my degree at Western Michigan University and Ritsumeikan in Japan. My degree in Creative Writing and Japanese Language have given me the opportunity to achieve my dream of learning and working in Japan. When I was a student, if I found a class fun and engaging, I learned. I aim to give my students a class that will inspire them, make them laugh, and help them reach their goals in education, whatever that may be. Let's learn and enjoy that journey!
While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Japanese, Writing, and History. My ESL teaching certification has allowed me to teach English and other test prep in Saitama and Kyoto, Japan, as well as schools in the US. I have had the opportunity to teach children as young as two years old and as old as 83. From one on one lessons to groups, I believe learning can be a fun experience and one to remember.
When I am not sharing my love of learning, I am working on writing science fiction and fantasy novels. I believe the world is a better place with happy students who can enjoy learning and good books.
I have always enjoyed learning, and becoming a teacher was the natural result of wanting to share the love of learning with others. As a teacher, I am always overjoyed to share my experiences of life in Japan and help my students find their own way to a greater world.
I get excited when I understand new topics and love being able to share that feeling with others. Be it the joy of completing a draft of writing or the satisfaction of improving in a language, I want my students to feel confident and enjoy themselves. Learning is a choice- I want my students to leave class inspired and with skills to help them get to where they want to go.

I write novels. I travel places of history in Japan. I love animation and traveling on bike to see places I have never seen before. Stories make my world go round. I have a million loves in the world and believe every day is an adventure, so why not make it a festival?
