I value education and enjoy helping students succeed in their studies. I successfully homeschooled my own children for a total of 15 years, from preschool through high school. I volunteered in many school settings. I also worked as a middle school Special Education inclusion paraprofessional, and as a teacher's aide. Additionally, I worked for several years as a Title 1 Tutor in a public charter school for "At-Risk" high school students.

I like to be able to meet students at their level, and discover their interests and what motivates them. From there, we can build a successful learning path leading to progress and confidence.

I have learned several languages to varying degrees and have assisted ESL students with their school assignments. I speak and comprehend some Spanish and French.
