I am a Neuroscience major at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I have been a tutor for almost 4 years now, and my favorite subject to teach, is chemistry. However, tutoring students for ACT/SAT has also been a very rewarding and enriching experience. I love tutoring because I am given the opportunity to help students achieve their best and inspire them on a personal and academic level. It excites me to see how energetic a learner becomes as soon as they understand a topic they struggled with. My philosophy of education is that all students are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential.

In my free time, I like to go hiking with my friends. I also really enjoy meditation. Through meditation, I find that I am better equipped to offer myself self-care. It also keeps me centered and focused, even during high-stress times, which are quite common as a pre-med student.
