I am a graduate from Arizona State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts and Education in Special Education with an emphasis in Emotional and Learning Disabilities. I also received a Master and Doctor of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision. I am currently licensed aa a Special Education Teacher, Principal, and Superintendent in the State of Arizona with an endorsement in English as a Second Language. I have worked in public education for over 20 years mainly in "high-risk" schools and with second language learners. My expertise is mainly working with students having poor executive function due to being neurodivergent or experiencing trauma. However, I a qualified to teach all K-8 subjects, with mastery knowledge in reading foundation and mathematics. Mathematics is my favorite (I am trained in Singapore Math). I believe all children can and do learn. I am committed to researching the barriers that affect learning and working with colleagues to find practical strategies that eliminate them. In my spare time, I enjoy supporting my three daughters towards becoming adults, learning how to play the drums, and taking every and any opportunity to get outdoors when Arizona provides a beautiful day.
