I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Evan: Long Island tutor

Certified Tutor

After graduating from Dickinson College in 2016, I spent four years in the Providence Public School District, the last three of which I taught high school English. I have extensive experience helping students identify and break down the root causes of learning blocks; in my three years, I led my classes to achieve an average of 21% growth in writing scores over the year prior.

When I began my LSAT journey, I studied hard, but ineffectively. I used my skillset as a teacher to identify my own learning blocks, and develop and reinforce sustainable practices. It was only then that I significantly improved. I believe a knowledgable, attentive tutor is often the needed momentum behind a student reaching her/his full potential. I can help you get there through fundamental technique, mental resilience, planning, and diligence.

When I'm not tutoring, I'm playing or watching sports (does Rocket League count?), creating music with my band, and preparing for law school interviews!
