Certified Tutor

I am a university English lecturer with more than ten years' experience in writing, public speaking, and ESL. I particularly enjoy helping students create crystal-clear essays while sharpening their writing abilities. As a tutor, I feel like I am both a coach and a cheerleader to my studentsgiving them strategies and methods to fulfill their academic goals while being one of their biggest fans cheering from the stands. As a Varsity Tutor, I hope to successfully facilitate my clients academic or professional ambitions.

Prior to entering education, I was a newspaper journalist. I earned a B.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas in 2005, an MA in TESOL from Emporia State University in 2015, and I am currently working toward an Ed.S. in Education Leadership & Innovation from Fort Hays State University. I recently returned to the U.S. from China and have travelled to more than a dozen countries in Asia. When I am not traveling, I am playing drums and tending to my garden.
