Certified Tutor

I am a current senior at the University of Tennessee majoring in Chemical Engineering with a Biomolecular Concentration. During my college career, I have worked as a pre-colligate counselor for my university's College of Engineering and College of Business. I have also completed engineering internships and co-op rotations with global companies that have allowed me to apply the skills that I have learned in the classroom to real world scenarios.
During my time in my pre-collegiate roles, I specifically worked with high school students in preparing them for their transition into college.j This preparation consisted of prepping for the ACT and SAT, refining students' study habits, and offering peer-mentor advice for how to succeed in their final years of high school.
I am an avid advocate for the STEM field and its subjects. I am most passionate about teaching Mathematics, Science, and English. I strongly believe that creating a strong foundation in fundamentals is essential for students, as this allows them to be propelled into success upon entering college. When teaching students, I prefer to take a collaborative approach by engaging with the student, understanding their unique learning style, and formulating a performable academic plan that is geared toward accomplishing their learning goals. I believe every student can complete anything they set their mind to. I also believe that the keys to success are practice, patience, and perseverance.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my cat. I also enjoy staying active with practicing yoga, reading the latest book releases, travelling, and volunteering at local community service events.
