My credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, an Illinois Teaching Certification (LBS1). A master's degree (LBS 2) focusing on multiple disabilities- through the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I have over 10 years working with children with special needs.
My resume will highlight my commitment to children, showcase my experience in differentiating instruction in an inclusive setting, use of direct instruction, and demonstrate my communication and leadership skills. I have experience teaching diverse groups of children in urban and rural settings, including those with mild to moderate ADHD, Autism, ELL, Behavior and Learning Disabilities. These experiences have helped me become a well-rounded compassionate teacher. I take into account the students' unique goals, needs, and interests to create effective lesson plans and activities to accommodate them.
My greatest capability is facilitating all styles of learners. I get to know my students and develop multi-sensory lesson plans to meet the needs of auditory, visual, tactile, and kinesthetic learners. I also incorporate various forms of technology, group work, and materials.
Furthermore, I make certain that each child receives individualize praise and constructive feedback ensuring that the student will remain engaged.
