I've spent the last 25 years in the pursuit of the exploration, comprehension and celebration of great works of literature, with special emphasis on English and American authors. Shakespeare, Shaw, Moliere, Oscar Wilde, Sheridan, Woodhouse, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Steinbeck, Poe, Salinger, Eugene O'Neil, Tennessee Williams, Capote, Twain - the list goes on forever.
As a student, interpreter, and performer of great dramatic works, I've appeared in classical theatre across the United States as well as Canada and the UK.
I am a recipient of the Tyrone Guthrie Award from the Stratford Festival of Canada, I was named the 2019 inductee to the Illinois Shakespeare Festival Hall of Fame, I am a three-time Joseph Jefferson Award Nominee in my home town of Chicago.
I have a Bachelors Degree (cum laude) from Drake University, and have have continued studies at Connecticut College and the Eugene O'Neil Theatre Center in Waterford. I was also a member of Stratford Festival's Classical Conservatory Company.
My main approach to the study of these works of literature is to make them accessible. The works of Willam Shakespeare are still being studied after 400 years because they resonate with people. If I can open that door for my students, they can walk through it, and see a new wold.
