I have BA in Physics and Statistics from Williams College, and an MA in Statistics from UC Berkeley. In the intervening year, I have worked at Success Academy in New York, analyzing student assessment data and assisting with remote instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am particularly passionate about quantitative subjects such as math and science, and during my time as a physics TA at Williams I greatly enjoyed helping people understand the reasoning and real-world processes behind the equations. However, after leading a guided reading group this past spring, I have learned to love teaching literature and phonics as well. As both a data analyst and educator, I deeply believe in the necessity and value of a good quantitative education in an increasingly numbers-focused world.

Hobbies

My hobbies are largely musical- I play bass and trumpet as well as singing and beatboxing (I was in an a cappella group in college). In addition, I enjoy tabletop gaming of all sorts (particularly D&D) as well as video games. So far as physical activity goes, I like hiking, dancing, and the occasional run.
