I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Writing and Rhetoric Studies from The University of Utah (May 2018). As an undergrad, I was a Staff Writer for The Daily Utah Chronicle. My article, "5 Horror Movies that Subvert Tropes of Gender, Race and Politics" became a Finalist in Feature Writing for the Mark of Excellence Awards (Region 9) presented by the Society of Professional Journalists. I have a personal writing blog (alinahappyhansenwriter.com) that I launched in March 2017. On my blog, I write reviews on movies, music, and literature; I also post some of my original poems and short stories. My most popular blog post is "Reflection: Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling". Since graduation, I have focused on pursuing my career as a writer. Previous writing and editing experience includes my time as an Intern for an International Book Scouting Agency and a Literary Internship for DLG Publishing Partners from May 2020 to May 2021. Besides writing and blogging, I am also a published Poet. My latest publication was my poem, "I don't remember" in Eclectica Magazine's April/May 2019 issue. Throughout my time as a student, writer, blogger, and poet, I am frequently sought after by friends, colleagues, and co-workers for my help. My ability to help others hone their writing and edit their work has made me a recommended go-to in my social spheres. I believe that clear communication is key when it comes to achieving goals as a mentor and a student. I ask specific questions about what help you need, I am here to help you complete the required work, research, and writing. I want you to become comfortable and confident in your writing abilities.
