My name is Amanda and I love word-smithing. I'm happy to help with your writing, speech making or literary analysis in a way that is approachable, individualized and fun! I was a teacher's assistant in elementary and middle school but studied secondary education after getting my masters degree in literature.
Most of my teaching experience was at Northern Arizona University where I taught junior level rhetoric and writing for 3 years. I also taught a liberal studies topic course for first year college students and for honors composition. I am a life-long learner and am passionate about helping others. It is such a pleasure for me to see my students succeed.

Ok, I love to laugh and to have fun on adventures. Hiking, biking, yoga, back-packing, rock climbing are all things I enjoy and love. Currently I teach a course on Mindfulness Through Coloring to 3 to 7 year olds, so you can guess I love that topic as well! I love being creative with learning. There are so many ways to learn and I want it to feel like learning is an adventure to share with someone, not a task to be checked off.
