Certified Tutor

I currently attend the University of Notre Dame, majoring in finance and political science. During high school, I was a tutor for three years, mainly teaching various english and literature classes. I currently tutor for the ACT, with a specialty in English and Reading. I like these subjects because they are so commonly used in every day life, and I feel that I have very effective strategies that will help a student succeed in these subject areas. I took the ACT three times, so I feel very familiar with the test taking experience and strategies for success. My teaching style is very open and transparent; I am willing to address any issue with an open mind and I try to develop strategies that play to a student's strengths. I would like to think I am very approachable and personable, and I have had very positive experiences with many students in the past using this philosophy. Outside of academics, I love playing basketball and watching sports, as well as chilling with friends, listening to music, and keeping up with politics and current affairs.
