I have been a math teacher for over two years and have taught a variety of subjects. I have taught levels ranging from pre-algebra/middle school math all the way up to AP Calculus at a Title I school. I studied at Purdue University and got my degree in Mathematics.

I am very passionate about teaching and believe anyone can learn math! I love being able to break down a complex idea in a way that is accessible to all learners. I believe being a teacher is becoming a master of such a thing. I have experience tutoring one-on-one and find this much more rewarding at times then teaching a whole class.

I am extremely patient and love to use my creativity to explain and create a math experience that will make someone go "aha!". I think math is usually seen as being overly complicated or requiring extensive memorization to become proficient in it, but I believe anyone is capable of learning math and there are so many ways to think about math to begin with. I try to incorporate these ideas into my teaching.
