My name is Thomas Maxim Guerin, although I often go by Max. I was born in White Plains, NY in 1966. I graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland with a B.A. in History in 1989. I got an M.A. in History from Arizona State University in 1992. In the years since then I have lived in Philadelphia, Pa. I taught for many years at Penn State's Brandywine Campus, where I handled classes in U.S. & World History, American Culture and for several years even taught a class on the history & cultural impact of Video Games. I have also taught at Germantown Friends. For the past four years I have been a reader for the AP History short answer portion of the exam.
