Certified Tutor

I am an English teacher who has worked in the public high school setting for six years and worked with tutoring students individually and in small groups during my high school and college career. For my university education, I attended East Carolina University and graduated summa cum laude with a double major in English literature and secondary education. Thus, literature is my "first love" in terms of tutoring. However, I have tutoring experience in the content areas of K-6 math, 9-12 history, ELA skills of all levels, and ACT test prep in the English, Reading, and Writing sections. As a lifelong reader and learner, I am passionate about sharing my love for literature and writing (and all things ELA) with others in a way that creates personal connections between the student and texts! When not reading, I can often be found baking and singing along with Broadway musicals.
