Tutoring is about personal connection; between tutor and student, tutor and subject, and most importantly between student and subject. My teaching emphasis is in the arts because of my passion for those subjects - a passion I'm eager to share.

Growing up as the eldest of seven in a homeschooled family, I developed an invaluable set of interpersonal skills. During my time at Texas A&M, I enhanced that skillset through my studies in Communication and Film, as well as work in tech support - a field where conveying complicated concepts in accessible ways is imperative.

In 2015 I wrote and published a book about Jurassic Park, a film which (among other things) sparked my enduring love of music. Over the years I've recorded and released both instrumental and vocal music. Further, during my undergrad I also performed lead vocals with Culture In Ruin.

Cultivating a personal connection to art - through literature, film, music, even cooking - is a profoundly enriching experience. Ultimately, tutoring is an extension of my ongoing quest to learn as much as I can about the subjects I love.
