Certified Tutor

I am a former student at Utah State University and was majoring in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and a minor in American Sign Language. I recently moved to Texas and am loving being down here. I have tutoring experience in English, formal and informal. Informal would be my younger siblings. I have tutored each of them in English as they have gone through school. Formal was being able to work a little as a volunteer in the writing center on Utah State University's campus.
I have been playing the violin since first grade, I stopped taking private lessons in 8th grade right before my father passed away. I've worked as an Instructor Assistant at a middle school where I taught the 4 core subjects alongside a teacher to the 6th graders, as well as individual tutoring with 7th and 8th graders. I was an Assistant Director at a Daycare and worked closely with 3 year olds and 4 year olds, as well as all the other age groups but I more often prepped our 4 year olds for Kindergarten.
My main focus as a teacher is to be uplifting. Every individual has the capability to learn, grown, retain, and achieve their goals. Setting achievable goals is fun and allows us to be creative which in turn helps us be able to problem solve and think critically. I love being able to teach and inspire! My goal at the end of every lesson is for you to feel enlightened, confident, and ready to succeed!
