It gives me great joy to see others succeed. This is why, throughout my undergrad, I was a premed mentor for underclassmen. I helped my mentees select and navigate their courses, as well as tutored and gave advice on how to succeed in their classes. Besides academics, I was there as a fellow peer, to hear them out and help them with whatever problem they were having. I also volunteered as a tutor for the American Chemical Society Chapter at my university. With my experience of being both a mentor and tutor, I aspire not only to help my students succeed in their courses, but also be there for them when they need advice on studying, their wellbeing, or life in general.
