I am a current student at West Chester University studying Early Childhood and Special Education, working towards a Bachelor of Science in Education. Throughout my college career I have had experience working with a variety of students, from the ages of 2 to 24, both typically developing and with special needs. Two summers ago I was the lead teacher for the adult camp group at the Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support. In this role I created life and social skills lesson plans and taught them, created individual schedules for each student, and helped the one on one staff manage their student's behaviors. I am currently shadowing a reading specialist in an elementary school and am working one on one with kindergarteners in small groups working on reading comprehension and related skills. I am extremely passionate about teaching students in the way that best fits their learning needs and differentiating my lessons so that every student is able to be successful. Outside of work I enjoy reading, listening to music, and spending time with my friends and family.
