I am a graduate student studying archaeology at UW Madison. I am passionate about teaching and higher education, and I enjoy making personal connections with students.

My teaching experience began when I was an undergraduate at Grand Valley State University. I worked as a writing consultant helping my fellow undergraduates with writing papers in an academic context. This experience laid the foundation for all my other teaching experiences over the years.

As a graduate student, I have been a TA in three class teaching archaeology, African studies, and general anthropology. I help students understand complicated materials easily and express themselves in writing.

My teaching philosophy involves interacting with students as personally as possible and required so that I can tailor my teaching methods to each student. This will allow me to make sure that each student succeeds to the best of their abilities. I enjoy speaking with students to make sure they get to know me well enough to be able to ask questions without fear. In short, I am willing to go the extra mile to make sure the student understands the material.
