Certified Tutor

I am a pending graduate of Boston University, receiving my B.A in Political Science. I was born and raised in New York City, and have spent my college career finding ways to help students get the education they need. I've interned with the NYC Department of Education, the European Grassroots Anti-Racist Movement in Paris, and political campaigns here at home. I am a strong believer in the idea that a great education can change a child's life, and I plan on making a career of helping make sure that all students in the United States are given a fair shake. I'm a big reader of North American and Latin American literature (Faulkner, Ellison, and Garcia Marquez are some of my favorites) and also love hip-hop that reaches a high literary/artistic level. I'm experienced in helping students with anything from AP US Government to the SAT Critical Reading portion to Modernist poetry. In the past, I've tutored all kinds of students; from fifth graders to college freshman. Besides books and music, I'm also a huge soccer fan, and will debate the top 10 lists at anytime.
